To get started in leagues, you’ll need to become a USTA member and then get a self-rating.

After joining, you'll need to self-rate to know which level to play. 

On that page, choose USTA League on the top left side.  Then, under NTRP Rating Info, click on the blue button that says Self-Rate.

Also, USTA has a new system for players to find teams that are looking for new players. It’s all done in tennislink and you’ll be able to see what is available there.
